Roddy Ritchie was charged with possession of a firearm after being arrested for attending a concert Saturday night.
According to police, the 23-year-old rapper was walking toward Citi Field on Saturday night when a private security company that operated the checkpoint noticed a firearm in the car he was in. Governors Ball Music Festival.
Police said a loaded firearm, nine rounds of ammunition and a large-capacity magazine were recovered from the vehicle.
Police charged Ritchie, whose real name is Rodrigo Moore, and two other men in the car, Michael Figueroa, 46, of Brooklyn and Carlos Collins, 57, of Eastchester, New York, with possession of a firearm. Illegal storage of ammunition storage equipment and devices.
Messages requesting comment were left on Sunday with booking agency Ritchie and the label. It remains to be seen whether he was hired by a lawyer who could comment on the allegations.
