Jackass will have a new series produced by Paramount+

Original creators will be present in the spin-off story and promise “even more ridiculous jokes”

After the box office success of Jackass Forevera Paramount+streaming service from ViacomCBSannounced the production of a new series in the franchise, alongside the original creators.

Bob BakishCEO of Paramount, confirmed to Variety that the Jackass franchise will gain a new chapter, this time in the form of an exclusive series from Paramount Plus.

Building on the success of ‘Jackass Forever’, we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics directly to Paramount+

The fourth film in the franchise included classic cast members such as Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England and Wee Man. The film debuted at the top of the US box office in February, earning a higher-than-expected $23.5 million.

the original series jackass was broadcast in three mini-seasons by MTV from 2000 to 2001. With its immense popularity, it gained series (including wildboyz and Long live La Bam) and spin-off films derived from the main characters of the franchise.

This is yet another move by the studio in an attempt to bolster the platform’s catalog using productions derived from successful films, including the series focused on knucklesvillain of the acclaimed sonic 2 (2022).

There is still no start date for the filming of the new series, nor a premiere in the Paramount+.
