Saw X: the first reviews have arrived. Flop or real nice surprise?

Saw X: the puzzle killer is back (again).

Since 2004, the horror saga Saw started by James Wan, it offered us nine feature films with the infamous traps of John Kramer, aka Jigsaw, for more or less convincing cinematic results. And while we thought that in the end he had finally disappeared Visa III, the puzzle killer keeps returning throughout the films. For the tenth part, with a sober title I saw Xhe will no longer appear in flashbacks.

The reason ? The plot of this new feature film directed by Kevin Greutert takes place between the first two episodes of the series. John Kramer (still played by Tobin Bell), suffering from terminal cancer, travels to Mexico in search of an experimental treatment. However, he discovers a sordid scam targeting the most vulnerable. This discovery unleashes Jigsaw’s fury, pushing him to conceive increasingly horrible traps to punish the criminals responsible for his own fatal fall. And on the imaginative side, she has lost none of her luster due to increasingly gory murders (proof here).

In France the film is expected on October 25th. In the United States it is scheduled for Friday, September 29thand some lucky guys have already discovered it…

Saw X: the first reviews have arrived!

Throwback, Saw injected fresh blood into the franchise. It delivers what you want (mostly cringe-inducing blood-filled traps), but it also attempts something different with a Saw movie. Not everything works, but it’s the strongest sequel yet.

I saw X gets the franchise back on track by telling a solid John Kramer story. It’s a different side of Jigsaw who we don’t usually see and it was great to see Tobin Bell again. Kramer is the Punisher of the horror genre. I hope the franchise continues from this point in the story

Now that the social embargo has been lifted, I’m happy to announce that Saw is one of the BEST additions to the franchise. It brings back the original essence of the first film while allowing audiences to better understand Kramer. Plus, the traps are *chef’s kiss*

Initially adhering to a different structure than we are used to, Saw it injects a more human element by deepening Kramer’s desperation. Fear not, because it ultimately embraces the bloody carnage we’ve come to expect with some truly painful and painful tricks and traps. Fucking funny!

You will have understood, for the moment the opinions on this new film in the saga are excellent. They predict a return in great form for John Kramer and his terrible traps. Now all we have to do is wait until October 25th to discover the film at the cinema! Perfect for Halloween! We can not wait.
