The success of The Batman
The beginning of 2022 was marked by the release of The Batman. Once again the film focuses on the famous superhero, protector of Gotham. But Matt Reeves managed to get some revamp by introducing Bruce Wayne early in his career as a vigilante and playing more of the detective alongside James Gordon.
Robert Pattinson established himself as a solid incarnation of Batman, as did Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, and Jeffrey Wright as Catwoman, the Riddler, and Gordon respectively. And despite its nearly three hours, the film attracted a large audience, reporting it more than $770 million in revenue worldwide.
Without surprise, a sequel has been announced, again with Matt Reeves at the helm. Unfortunately, you have to be patient before the release Batman 2 in the rooms. Because more than a year and a half after the release of the first film, filming of the second has not yet begun.
The sequel should not be delayed

According to American media, the Warner Bros. studio intends to do so focus mainly on the production of Batman 2 (and other projects like The Legacy of Superman). It has to start with finalize the scenario, interrupted during the writers’ strike. Since this has just been completed, the writing of the film can be finished.
Best of all, it looks like this writing delay won’t interrupt the start of filming. Warner Bros. planned a release for October 2025 and for this to happen filming would have had to start at least a year before. Even though Hollywood is still on strike among actors and actresses, the studio could do so by speeding up the writing of the script start production quickly as soon as this other strike is over.
And although there is a risk of complications within the industry in terms of schedules, since “everyone will produce a lot of movies and shows at exactly the same time“, if Warner Bros. continues Batman 2 as a matter of priority the release date cannot therefore be postponed.
