One of the best Marvel series is returning to Disney+

Loki is back on Disney+

Since the launch of Disney+, the platform has offered many Marvel series. But among all, it must be admitted that the best proposals were at the beginning. In fact, we really have had better than that WandaVision (2021) e Loki (2021) ?

Among the ten serial programs produced so far, these two series are certainly the best. We can therefore be very happy to finally see its arrival season 2 of the show dedicated to the God of Malice, available ON Disney+ from October 6th.

How does the first season of Loki end?

In the first season of Lokithe Avengers’ former enemy is arrested by VAT (Time Variance Authority in the VO). The series therefore evokes the notion of multiverse with this group responsible for stopping anyone from altering the past or future and thus protecting it the passage of time.

Loki is then brought in to help Agent Mobius stop Sylvie, an alternate, female version of himself who would cause real chaos. Except that over the course of the episodes we learn that the truth is very different. In fact, at the end of season 1, we first find out that the Time Keepers, supposedly the creators of the TVA, aren’t real. Also, a version of Kang, who introduces himself as He who abidesexplains that he is at the origin of the events experienced by Loki and Sylvie.

In the final episode, Sylvie then decides to kill him, thus causing the future arrival of a multitude of versions of the antagonist. At least this is what is announced when Loki finds himself in a world where the figure of the One Who Dwells appears everywhere within the TVA. A world in which, moreover, Mobius does not recognize Loki…

The second season is scheduled

Season 2 of Loki resumes immediately after these events. The hero of the series, always played by Tom Hiddleston at first he believes he is in a parallel world before realizing he is in reality takes a trip back in time. Something that however is impossible within the TVA, and it’s called Time travelwhich Loki must resolve as a matter of priority.

This is why it can count OBa new character played by Ke Huy Quan and who brings a good touch of comedy. This is still one of the qualities of Loki in this season 2, this ability to use humor for breaks in tone, without straying into the dramatic part. Because yes, the danger is very present in these new episodes which immediately involve the viewer on an exciting adventure.

Without giving too much away, Loki’s priority in the first few episodes of season 2 is finding Sylvie. It adds to this significant conflicts within the TVA. The employees discovered that they actually had a previous life in the time stream, but their memories were erased. Should we then set out to discover this life that was taken from them, or accept living in ignorance like Mobius?

Also questioning free will allows us to give a little more depth to the characters and create them Sylvie is always very empathetic. Her portrayer, Sophia Di Martino, once again gives an excellent performance and stays one of the great successes of Loki. The second season then alternates places from the past (the best moments) and the TVA, developing increasingly important dramatic issues around Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw). A frightening sequence from episode 4 also strikes the viewer. By its tragic dimensionthis season 2 therefore turns out to be a success that lives up to expectations.
