John Stemos talks about Bob Saget not being included in the In Memoriam segment during Sunday’s awards ceremony.
The actor accepted twitter A week before the ceremony, it was revealed that he was “disappointed” to learn of Saget’s absence from the tribute.

Sunday night’s In the Memoriam segment, which featured performances by Billy Porter, Stephen Sondheim, Sidney Poitier, Joan Didion and others, was among the highlights. Saget’s name appears in an expanded list on Tony’s website that shares the message: “The Tony Awards unites the entire theater community to remember the friends and colleagues who have passed away in recent months. The names of some of those who worked on Broadway are listed below. They are always in our hearts.”

On January 9, it was announced that Saget had died at age 65. Authorities confirmed that the actor and comedian was found unconscious at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando in the Grande Lakes room a day after performing a monologue. In a statement, Saget’s relatives later confirmed that authorities had identified his wound as the cause of death.
Saget’s small, intimate funeral was held on January 14th attended by Saget’s close friends and family, including loved ones. Full house Actors, as well as John Meyer, Jimmy Kimmel and others.
