Fair Play: the Sundance jewel is discovered on Netflix

The Sundance festival is the unmissable event for American independent cinema, which is screened every year in January in Salt Lake City, Utah. It’s also an opportunity for distributors and streaming platforms to acquire the rights to broadcast them later in the year. It is the case of Correctnessfirst feature film by American director Chloe Domont, presented in the official competition and of which Netflix has acquired the rights.

Starring Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich, the film tells the story of two colleagues who work at the same company and are secretly in love with each other. After taking the plunge and getting married, their relationship is put to the test when she receives an unexpected promotion at a hedge fund.

This shocking event highlights the mechanisms of potency and toxicity that prevail in their relationship. While the promotion should be cause for celebration, it puts their relationship on the brink, threatening not only their engagement, but the very foundation of their love.

After receiving a limited release in U.S. theaters on September 29, Correctness is available on Netflix worldwide since last October 6th. And it has already entered the top 10 of the most watched films on the platform.
