Prime Video discreetly adds the Nicolas Bedos series starring Jean Dujardin

Prime Video decides to discreetly release “Alphonse”.

There was no promotion, no interviews, no trailers, just some images from the shoot posted by Nicolas Bedos on his Instagram account. Yet, the series Alfonso, written and directed by the latter, with a very large cast, will be put online tomorrow 12 October on Prime Video. It was with a press release released this Wednesday that the streaming platform announced its arrival, with the only promotional material represented by a summary poster featuring Jean Dujardin, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nicole Garcia and Laura Morante.

However, it is not Prime Video’s habit not to promote its original contents with great fanfarelike the recent series Killer roller coaster, Greek salad OR LOL: Whoever laughs, goes out! who were entitled to wide media visibility before their broadcasts.

It is therefore difficult not to see a connection with the recent accusations against Nicolas Bedos. The latter, in fact, was placed in police custody last June for the alleged sexual assault on a young woman. Released at liberty, he will be tried next year for “sexual assault, in a state of obvious intoxication”. Furthermore, last July, an investigation into rape and sexual violence was opened after complaints from three women.

Alphonse: Jean Dujardin well surrounded

After SDG 117: Red alert in Black Africa, Jean Dujardin reunites with Nicolas Bedos for this comedy series in six episodes of 50 minutes each. The Oscar-winning actor plays Alphonse, a man in his forties facing professional and personal challenges. Renewing ties with a father he had only vaguely known, Alphonse discovers an unexpected life path. His journey leads him to meet a multitude of women, each more fascinating and original than the other, leading him on an adventure that is at the same time risky, daring and full of sweetness.

At his side, as we could already see in the poster, we will find Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nicole Garcia, Laura Morante and Pierre Arditi.

The first three episodes ofAlfonso will be available this Thursday, October 12, followed by one episode per week.
