Hugh Jackman tested positive for Covid-19 for the second time. The actor, who played Wolverine at the movies, had to get away from The Music Manmusical from Broadway displayed in Winter Garden Theater from New York.
jackman posted a video on twitter on Monday the 13th, informing their fans about the test. The news came a day after the actor performed at the Tony Awards. See, below, other artists who had to cancel the show after cases of Covid-19:
Rolling Stones
Mick Jaggerfrontman of Rolling Stones, was also another artist who tested positive for covid-19 this week. The band had to cancel the show that would take place on the 13th, in Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands. The announcement was made on the social media of the iconic British rock group.
BaianaSystem
One of the members of BaianaSystem was also diagnosed with covid-19, which led to the cancellation of the group’s performance on the main stage of the john rockfestival that took place in Ribeirão Preto last Saturday, 11.
The festival gathered about 70 thousand people. However, the band is already confirmed for the 2023 edition.
Pearl Jam
O Pearl Jam also could not continue with its North American tour in May of this year. The band announced on their Instagram that the shows scheduled for May 18th in Sacramento and on the 20th in Las Vegas were canceled after the bassist Jeff Ament was diagnosed with the disease.
“This is horrible for everyone involved and we are especially sorry for those who made plans to be at these shows. Our focus on staying in the bubble has been constant. We really did everything we could to stay infection-free.” the band said in a statement.
The band is set to return to the road on June 18 at Pinkpop Festival, In Holland. In August, the band will return to the United States for the second part of their tour in support of Gigaton, released in 2020.
The Strokes
Just this month there was also the cancellation of the show The Strokes what would happen in Primavera Sound in Barcelona on Friday, the 3rd. In a statement, the festival explained that one of the members had been diagnosed with Covid-19.
“Due to a case of Covid-19 in progress in The Strokesyour show at Primavera Sound tomorrow night has been cancelled. The band will return to the stage starting next week in Estolcomo and will perform on the second weekend of Spring.” explained the production of the festival in twitter.
Also in the statement, the organization offered the public the possibility of going to the shows on June 10, the second weekend of the festival, without changing ticket prices.
Instead of The Strokesthe band performed caribou, which was already confirmed in the line-up. In the space left by the musician, a concert by mogwai.
