Megan Fox writes poetry book and talks about her miscarriage

Megan Fox shared some details about her miscarriage in her new book of poetry “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous”. The 37-year-old actress was pregnant with a girl and during the tenth week of pregnancy she suffered a miscarriage, Fox describes what happened in two poems.

Fox describes the ultrasound performed and says “maybe if you hadn’t… maybe if I had…” (in free translation).

In another excerpt she says: “I want to hold your hand/hear your laugh” and, later, “but now/I have to say/goodbye”. There are also other phrases that can be related to the baby, such as “as they tear you from my insides”, “I will pay any price / Tell me, please / what is the ransom / for her soul?”

In 2022, Machine Gun Kelly, fiancé of Megan, dedicated to music Twin Flame on his show, saying “And this is for our unborn child.”

The book of Fox it also contains poems about abusive relationships and delicate subjects, one of which says:

“I have spent my whole life keeping men’s secrets, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins / My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to reclaim their happiness and identity, using the your voice to illuminate what has been buried, but not forgotten, in darkness.”

In an interview with the portal people, the actress explains about the book:

“Some parts are literal, while other parts are allegorical. Some poems contain a fairy tale-type element of Grimm, and others serve the same purpose as memes in online culture. All of this is something women can relate to.”
