Enter Millie Bobby Brown The Lady and the Dragon
Not even 20 years old, Millie Bobby Brown she’s already had a lot to do as an actress. In Stranger things (the series that revealed her), the actress faced evil creatures and malevolent scientists. Then, she found herself in the middle of a fight with a giant monster Godzilla2before having investigations to carry out Enola Holmes and its sequel. And she doesn’t seem ready to rest as we will soon see her do so face a dragon on Netflix!
In fact, the streaming platform has unveiled the trailer for The Lady and the Dragon. In this fantasy film, she plays Millie Bobby Brown Princess Elodie whose fate promises to be disastrous. After her marriage to Prince Henry, she will have to be sacrificed to a dragon. Obviously, having no intention of letting herself be devoured, she will not hesitate to take up a sword to defend herself.
An ambitious work of imagination
The promotional video shows the heroine in Rambo-style survival mode (almost). Her journey will lead her to discover the many women sacrificed before her, with the aim of “building this kingdom”. An imposing kingdom that shows the ambition of The Lady and the Dragon. Because even though we mostly see Princess Elodie alone, the film will feature many other characters, in impressive settings, suggesting even greater stakes.
Thus we find Nick Robinson in the casting, Robin Wright, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Angela Bassett and even Ray Winstone. The Lady and the Dragon is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. The film should have already been put online by Netflix but, due to the actors’ and actresses’ strike, the platform decided to postpone its release in 2024. There is no specific date yet, but it shouldn’t be long.
