The soap opera will be available in batches of 20 episodes released each week
Starting this Thursday, November 16th, Globoplay launches the first season of Rebela soap opera originally shown by SBT and which gave rise to the successful musical group RBDcurrently on tour in Brazil.
The series’ episodes will arrive on the service dubbed, but also with original and uncut audio, something unprecedented in Brazil. The release will be done in batches of twenty episodes, which premiere on the streaming service each week.
Produced by Televisa, Rebel was shown in Mexico between 2004 and 2006. In Brazil, the production arrived in 2005 and was shown until 2006 on SBT. From the soap opera, the RBD group emerged, formed by Anahi, Dulce Maria, Alfonso Herrera, Christian Chavez, Maite Perroni It is Christopher von Uckermanwhich returned to action this year.
In 2022, Netflix revived the soap opera as a series, which follows a new school year at Elite Way high school, but with the threat of a secret society, which intends to end the students’ musical dreams. The new Rebel featured the Brazilian Giovanna Grigio (Lost) and was canceled after two seasons.
