The 2023 Virna Lisi Award will be awarded at the Torino Film Festival

The Virna Lisi Foundation will also award the prestigious prize this year which will be exclusively organized in collaboration with the Turin Film Festival. The actress’ family established seven years ago, the Virna Lisi Award it is awarded annually to a star of Italian cinema who has distinguished himself not only for his professionalism but for his charisma and passion, thrilling audiences with his interpretations.

Wednesday 29 November at the Turin Film Festival we will pay tribute to one of the brightest stars of our cinema by celebrating the art, talent and strength of women in the film sector.

To receive the Young Revelation Award will be Romana Maggiora Vergano who with his skill was able to reach the hearts of all Italians with the interpretation of Marcella in the film There’s still tomorrow by Paola Cortellesi, with a performance of great artistic maturity and expressive freshness that promises a brilliant future career.

The Virna Lisi Award will be assigned to Greta Scarano, whose stage presence brings with it a rare combination of talent, passion and emotional intensity. Dedication and artistic depth shine through in his work.

The award will be awarded through a speech made by the artistic director Steve Della Casa and Laura Delli Colli, president of the Italian film journalists in the presence of the two actresses on the afternoon of Wednesday 29 November at 5:30 pm at the Cinema Romano.

These awards not only celebrate current and emerging film talent, but also reinforce the importance of investing in and believing in new generations of female artists, while continuing to honor the legacy of women who have left behind an indelible mark on the art of cinema.

Over the years, the Virna Lisi Prize has been awarded to artists such as Margherita Buy, Paola Cortellesi, Monica Bellucci, Claudia Gerini, Elena Sofia Ricci and Micaela Ramazzotti, leading protagonists in Italian cinema, where added to the latest edition the recognition born in the signal
