The actor, who plays Will Byers in the Netflix series, has been the target of criticism after appearing in posts that make fun of the conflict between Israel and Hamas
Noah SchnappWill Byers from Stranger Things, has attracted attention off-screen. The reason would be the actor’s appearances in videos and posts related to the war in Gaza. Although he did not openly comment on his position regarding the conflict between Israel and the Hamasthe actor has been associated with posts that parody the conflict, which has angered some fans of the series Netflix.
In one video, Schnapp appears at a cafe with friends, laughing at stickers that read: “Zionism is sexy” and “Hamas is the Islamic State.” In another post discovered by followers, he appears enjoying a video that makes fun of Islamists and the LGBTQIA+ population itself – a community of which he himself is a part.

Sources of The Streamr state that Netflix would “keep an eye” on the actor’s actions, but that any additional reprimand would be “unlikely”, since the outcome of Will Byers, his character, is one of the central plots of the fifth and final season of Stranger Thingsscheduled to debut in 2025.
Differences with the Melissa Barrera case
Despite this, many fans have associated the “hot spots” that the company would be releasing about the case to highlight the difference in treatment between men and women in Hollywood: just last week, the actress Melissa Barrera was disconnected from the production of Panic VII after a series of pro-Palestinian publications.
After being fired, Barrera he used his social networks to talk about the event and reinforce his position in the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
“I condemn anti-Semitism and Islamophobia. I condemn hatred and prejudice of any kind against any group of people.”began the actress in a publication in Stories. “As a Latina, a proud Mexican, I feel a responsibility to have a platform that allows me the privilege of being heard, and so I have tried to use it to raise awareness about issues that matter to me and to lend my voice to those in need.”
