Rafa Pons He is back. Yes, Spanish returns to Argentina to present, live, “Joven”, his new album.
It must be said that the singer-songwriter maintains a special relationship with Buenos Aires, the city to which he dedicated one of his most popular songs and where he presented his previous work “Ni tú, ni vos”, alongside “Zambayonny”, to whom He is united by a great friendship.
That’s why Today, Friday December 1st, he will take the stage at the Sala Marquee (Scalabrini Ortiz 666) to present “Joven”, his eighth album, in which he is once again interested in this particular and scathing way of recounting everyday life which has forged his musical career.
Throughout the album there is a critical reflection on the cult of youth and the fear of being excluded from current perceived trends in society. It is no longer the fear of growing old, it is the panic of being excluded from fashion that the singer-songwriter from Barcelona, who has just turned 45 and has a 17-year professional career, is rebelling against.
Eventually, a Rafa more mature and wilder than ever.
The album covers different musical styles, from rock to funk, bolero and pasodoble, and addresses the modernity of classic pop rock. With a sound more analog than ever and a revolutionary and, let’s admit it, provocative vocation.
