Succession set a new record and marked its presence in the history of nominations for Golden Globes 2024. The production of HBO won the title of series with the most nominations in a single year in the TV categories.
The family drama Roy received a total of nine nominations for its final season, being recognized in every category for which it was eligible. The only member of the main cast who was absent from the nominations was the actor Nicholas Braun.
With this achievement, Succession surpassed productions such as L.A. Lawwhich held the record, accumulating eight nominations in 1990. In addition to Successionthe series The Bear and Only Murdersin the Building also stood out on the list, receiving five nominations each. Among the films, Barbie with nine nominations, while Oppenheimer secured second place with eight.
The ceremony of Golden Globes 2024 is scheduled for January 7th and will be broadcast in the United States on CBS and Paramount+. So far, there is no information about the broadcast of the event in Brazil.
