Two stars for The best of enemies
It’s the holiday season and, logically, the shopping season, and it’s the same in Hollywood where Amazon and its subsidiary MGM have just acquired the rights to a spy thriller, following an auction in which Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix have long fought. AND as revealed by Deadlinethe film entitled The best of enemies they should have as main actors Bradley Cooper AND Cristiano Balla.

It is announced that the two actors will play two real secret agents, Gennady Vasilenko (Christian Bale) of the KGB and Jack Platt (Bradley Cooper) of the CIA, who developed an unlikely but strong friendship during the Cold War, starting in 1978, and remained so until Jack Platt’s death in January 2017.
The precise amount of the deal was not disclosed, but according to Deadline it could be the largest “pitch deal” of the year, highlighting the check of around $5 million signed to screenwriter Eric Warren Singer to write the film. He has already announced that the film will be released in cinemas.
One meeting later The American bluff
We can notice in Christian Bale’s filmography that perhaps he is never as great as when in front of his character there is another equally present, or even more so. The new world, Prestige, The dark Knight : The Black Knight, Public enemies, fighter, Le Mans66… The greater his partner’s performance, the greater his, and therefore the announcement that Bradley Cooper will face him is a very tempting promise.
This will be a second collaboration for these actors, after the one for The American bluff by David O. Russell. Currently no director is attached to the projectbut according to Deadline Bradley Cooper himself, at the helm of Master, could direct it. If not, David O. Russell could be on the shortlist, having already worked, as well asThe American blufftwice with each actor, fighter AND Amsterdam for Christian Bale, e happiness therapy AND Joy for Bradley Cooper.
