There is always a stubborn child in every family, right? To the Kardashian-West, that person always seems to be from the North West. The eldest of four young girls is known for keeping her drum beat, so to speak, even though her cousin has to call her out for some antics sometimes. However, apparently, she continues to hurt her mother in other ways when Kim Kardashian talks about what happened to her Christmas card last year.
It turns out that family photo day is just as overwhelming for the 9-year-old as it was for me (and probably many others with multiple siblings) growing up. Finale of the first season of Hulu The Kardashians (opens in a new tab) aired on June 16, and in that, the show took a break after the Tristan Thompson pregnancy scandal came to light to show a lighter fare. Namely, Kim Kardashian was arguing with all of her children (North, Chicago, Saint and Psalm) over a Christmas photo shoot in matching pajamas. Of course, there were tears, pouts, and most of the children roaring at Kardashian’s feet as she walked past the cameras. In a confessional, the reality star revealed:
You could never predict what our Christmas card will look like because it’s so stressful. They always cry. Nobody gets along. Most of the photos I saw were unusable because North was sticking out his middle finger. It’s days like these where I really need to lock myself in the room for a good 30 minutes. Yes, it’s a lot. It’s a lot to be a mom.
Watch! Kim Kardashian is like any other normal mother in America … who needs an occasional break from the joys of raising a baby. Personally, I feel more for the North West here. Throwing the bird seems like a totally honest reaction to a photo shoot that obviously wasn’t just for kids.
With North West, it became very clear that it is about trolling her famous mother and the reality behind her glamorous life. Even over the Easter weekend, the Hulu star’s daughter teased her organic garden. And before that, Kim Kardashian had shared that the outspoken young woman had found a clever way to overshadow her during an argument. (Hint, it’s about breaking into the famous barren abode of the SKIMS CEO.)
The recent Christmas photo shoot, competing with disgruntled schoolchildren, is relatively quiet compared to the rest The Kardashiansend of the first year. Khloé Kardashian allegedly discovered Tristan Thompson’s third (known) infidelity with the rest of the world. She described feeling humiliated by the situation she recurs, but ultimately being quite numb and numb to everything at the time.
Kim Kardashian explained on the show that the Christmas family photo was just a way to bring “happy and joyful times” amid the dramatic turn of events for her sister. (I wouldn’t exactly say he was happy or joyful for the North West, but his pouting expression on camera was certainly that of centuries.) Khloé Kardashian has since reacted to the hype of the episode, saying in one peek that it was “difficult” but that “there is such beauty in seeing how close my family is”. She added in a different tweet:
Life is full of lessons, teaching moments. We have to handle them with grace / love. Even if we are hurt by them. Take your time, cry / scream but keep calm and remember that love heals and teaches more than anger or hatred. We all deserve forgiveness and above all… LOVEJune 17, 2022
At the moment, there is no official release date for season 2 of The Kardashians. But Hulu had previously confirmed that two seasons would actually air on the platform. The series will address the public feud on social media between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West that began shortly after the Christmas portrait. This conflict was related to the use of TikTok by North West and Kardashian’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. By the way, the SNL Apparently Alum was lurking more reality TV than previously believed, thanks to the final post-credits reveal.
This is sure to be something to look forward to in the new episodes, but, right now, I’m more obsessed with the Northwest’s extra cheating. Keep your eyes peeled for more rip-offs and in case you missed season 1’s The Kardashians (or the status of West’s rising icon), so check it out now because it’s streaming for those with a Hulu subscription.
