The year 2024 will start with a bang
In 2024, we won’t have to wait long before we get one of the hits of the year. In fact, despite being a time forecast for 2023, Dune 2 it was postponed to February 28, 2024. A decision taken following the strike of Hollywood actors and actresses which then prevented the stars of the film from doing any promotion. It is therefore with a view to profitability that Warner Bros. has moved Denis Villeuneuve’s film to this date. Remember that the first work earned more than $400 million in revenue worldwide, and thisa third film is already in preparation.
We are also curious to see what will result Argyle, the new film by Matthew Vaughn with a great cast, scheduled for January 31st in France. But after, despite the versions of Mrs. Web (February 14) or Godzilla x Kong (April 10), it is in May that we will find two other great expectations. Unless dates change, we will be entitled to two post-apocalyptic films in the same week of May 22nd with Furiousthe prequel to Mad Max Road FuryAND Planet of the Apes: The New Kingdomcontinuation of the trilogy The Planet of the Apes. The superheroes will return during the summer
Summer 2024 will therefore be very busy. Deadpool 3 (July 24)Marvel’s only superhero movie is expected to draw audiences en masse as fans have been calling for a reunion for years Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. As for the “competition”, Sony Pictures will be released on August 28th Kraven the Hunterto continue developing its extended universe, before arrival Poison 3 on November 6. The first film was released in 2019 and was a huge success with over $1 billion in global box office revenue.
Finally, two unexpected sequels will conclude the last months of 2024: Beetle juice2 (September 11) e Gladiator 2 (November 20). The first will see Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder reprising their roles, while Jenna Ortega will carry on this new adventure, some details of which have been revealed. For the second we can expect another impressive performance from Ridley Scott with Paul Mescal in the lead role.
