Animated films that don’t come from the USA
Change of atmosphere, after the blockbusters and horror films expected for 2024, we face the most anticipated animated films. And the beginning of the year will offer a nice variety of productions with, in the space of two months, the Japanese film Nicky Larson – City Hunter: Angel Dust (January 24) from the worship license Nicky Larson, Leo, the fabulous story of Leonardo da Vinci (January 31) carried out in particular from French studies and partly in stop motion, or even The Kingdom of the Abyss (February 21) from China.
This is our greatest expectation due to its sublime aesthetics, semi-realistic and colorful without being cloying. Probably one of the best films we will see in 2024, and here is the synopsis:
Shenxiu, a 10-year-old girl, is sucked into the depths of the sea during a family cruise. She discovers the fantastic universe of the abyss, an unknown world populated by incredible creatures. In this mysterious place emerges the Deep Sea Restaurant, managed by the emblematic Captain Nanhe. Pursued by the Red Ghost, their path will be strewn with evidence and many secrets. Their underwater odyssey has just begun.
Vice versa 2 And the others
Next, the big American studios will bring out the heavy artillery to attract as many people as possible. Three sequels are expected Kung Fu Panda 4 (March 27) Despicable Me 4 (3 July), but above all Vice versa 2 (June 19). The first work made an impact on young and adult audiences, and this sequel should further test our emotions.
We can also hope to see the arrival of the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Beyond Spider-Verse. The animated film currently has no release date and has been postponed due to strikes in Hollywood. But we can easily imagine a return of Spider-Man to theaters in 2024, at the end of the summer or for the start of the school year in September.
A busy end of the year
Finally, 2024 will end with more animated blockbusters. Moreover Mufasa: The Lion King (December 18) Sonic 3 (December 25), it is above all The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim (December 11th) that interests us. The story will take place 250 years before the events of Peter Jackson’s trilogy. And it will focus on the mighty king of Rohan, Helm Hammerhand. If his name means something to you, that’s normal, as Helm’s Deep was named in his honor. And according to the feedback from the first images, the result could be splendid!
