Preparation number one: what you need to check before giving birth

A crib, a changing table, a place for a child’s belongings – everything should be ready in advance so as not to do it at the last moment. Think about ways to get rid of diapers – in bags or in a special shredder.

Not necessarily all at once, just washing those that will be needed in the hospital and a few days after returning home. Use a hypoallergenic powder.

Even if there is no car, the chair is useful for trips with friends or in a taxi. Make sure you know how to mount it correctly.

It does not matter if it is in the district clinic or under insurance, but it would be nice to get acquainted with the doctor before the birth.

How to bathe, hold, change diapers – it is better to get an idea of ​​​​these points in advance. You can take classes, watch videos or ask experienced friends.

If you are going to breastfeed, get special underwear and clothes.

You will need a non-contact baby thermometer, water thermometer, shampoo and diaper cream. Medicines can be bought later: most children rarely get sick in the first months of life.

Comfortable clothes for you and the baby, a few diapers, wet wipes, postpartum pads (preferably with disposable panties), bathrobe, slippers, hygiene items – this is a necessary minimum.
