The brothers Matt and Ross Duffercreators of the original series NetflixStranger Thingsrevealed how they regretted killing off a new season 4 character, which happened right in the first episode, titled “Chapter one: The Hellfire Club.”

In the chapter in question, the public was introduced to the Chrissy Cunninghampopular student Hawkins High Interpreted by Grace Van Dien, who goes through various harrowing visions and other forms of psychological torment. In addition to participating in school counseling sessions, the character interacts with Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) to buy some drugs – and the chemistry between the actors drew attention.

Later on “Chapter one: The Hellfire Club,” she is possessed by the mysterious and fatal villain vecnaresponsible for brutally killing her in the house of Eddie. Now, the showrunners of Stranger Things, Matt and Ross Duffer explained how maybe they were wrong to end the story of Chrissy so early.

“We always have those moments [de ‘O que fizemos?’],” explained Matt during an interview with TVLine. “We filmed the drug dealing scene in the woods quite late, actually around the time of filming.” While Ross explained: we had already killed Chrissy when we filmed this.” Finally, Matt continued, “The scene came to life in such a beautiful way.”

In addition, producers compared the premature death of Chrissy with that of the beloved bob newby (Sean Astin). “When we kill bob, I didn’t want to do that. We fell in love with both the character and the Sean,” said Matt. “And Sean didn’t want to die on the show. Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers) didn’t want him to die.”

Stranger Things: Season 4 explains the show’s mysteries, says producer

The first half of season 4 of Stranger Things brought more mysteries to the audience and new monsters. However, according to the producer Shawn Levifinal episodes should begin to answer questions.

Not leaving the public in doubt is one of the brothers’ goals duffer – creators of Stranger Things – during the final stretch of the series, which ends in Season 5: “They said, ‘You know what? It’s a good time for answers. Explain what’s going on.’ The episodes reshape everything we know about the supernatural villains of Hawkins. It’s certainly a starting point for what’s to come,” he explained to The Hollywood Reporter.

“There’s no way we can deliver our loyal and passionate fans an unsatisfying ending to the last episode,” he continued. “We [Shawn e os Duffer] We do projects for the public. We are not telling stories to ourselves. We count to achieve popular appeal. In the world there are many series that end poorly.”

Since the first season, the series about the children/teens of Hawkins is surrounded by mysteries – such as the origin of monsters and explanation about the powers of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). None of these questions will go unanswered, according to Levi.
