A killer paradox : a concept that recalls death Note
The concept of death Note has left its mark among manga fans. Tsugumi Ōba’s work, published between 2003 and 2006, and which spawned an animated series that helped popularize it, features a gifted high school student who one day discovers a magical notebook. By writing a person’s name on it, they die. The boy then decides to write in the notebook the name of the criminals. He thus becomes a serial killer that the police will have to look for. It’s hard not to think of Death Note when you see the Death Note presentation A killer paradox. Only this time no magic notebook or God of Death (the owners of the Death Note), and therefore fantasy.
In this upcoming Netflix series from South Korea, we will see an ordinary man becomes a serial killer, after accidentally killing a first person. He will discover that that victim deserved his fate, and then attack other criminals. A police officer will do everything he can to arrest him. But the bodies will pile up quickly.
A bloody trailer for the Netflix series
Netflix revealed the trailer ofA killer paradox. In these images we discover the transformation of Lee Tang, from a simple grocery store cashier to a bloodthirsty killer. He also initially appears scared after his first accidental murder. The promotional video doesn’t really show how he will perform and how he will gain enough confidence to do so massacre so many people. However, we understand that there may be other people in his way other than the policeman chasing him.
However, the proposal seems intriguing. Especially with death Note, Netflix he had proposed a terrible live action film. A killer paradox could correct the situation, although, once again, the two works have no direct connection. But the fundamental question, namely whether Lee Tang is “an ideal hero or an unpunished sinner“, brings the series closer to the manga. The show will be put online on the platform on February 9th.
