Jennifer Aniston at “Pinch Me” landing moment for Damien Chassell’s product line advertising

As Creative Director of Vital Proteins, Jennifer Aniston helped the brand refine its new line of protein strips with a year-long consultation on the right formulas for Cold Brew Dark Chocolate Coconut Fudge. And when it came time to make an announcement, he put his hand on the shoulder of the author he dreamed of working with.

“It was a painful moment: really happens. Why didn’t you aim high? he told her the hollywood reporter More about the recently hired Zoom the landDamien Chazelle and composer Justin Horwitz for the play “Every Moment Is Vital”. “It all developed very quickly and we had a lot of fun. It’s been two days and that’s it [snaps fingers]. It was so easy. It’s this young man, 37 years old and here he is in this activity. I’m sitting here lucky enough to advertise my vital proteins.

I read that it took me a year to get the correct Three Vital Proteins protein formula. What was the most difficult part of the process?

Get the flavor right. Obviously this is always a difficult part because there’s always some kind of flavor, or, you know, it’s too chewy or too dense. The original strips were too big and too high in calories. I just thought there must be a way to make this bar taste fantastic. For example, what if the ingredients I put in my sheik? Why not add maca powder, cordyceps and lion’s mane? All those wonderful and beautiful food ingredients that will give you added benefits. They said, “Of course we can. “We can do whatever we want.”

Then it was the year of sending different makeups to the bar. We did taste tests with my friends. Sometimes the first round was a little too sweet or too sugary or cold, which was just too much. I gave him the logs and we went and back and back and back until we landed. I remember when we got the commercials and we did the final taste test and I tried Cold Brew, which is now my favorite. He used to say, “That’s it.” It couldn’t be more delicious. I have a friend who is a chef and he doesn’t like protein bars and he said, “I love it.” They are perfect to put in my bag and go. Usually when I work, I don’t eat all day, and then I get home and I eat too much, so it’s such a pittance to catch up. That’s not garbage. These are all very good ingredients.

Do you always have them with you?

Yes, my car fridge because it melts. [otherwise]. I have it everywhere. All my friends use them all the time and I’m like, “Guys, you have to order from your own Amazon now.”

The commercial was directed by Damien Chassell with songwriter Justin Hurwitz. the land. How do I step? Were you a fan of the movie?

Oh my God. So, it was a painful moment: Is this really happening? Why not aim high? Directors now do all the work because it’s fun to move around and do something that involves less commitment. I’ve always loved Damien and I’ve wanted to do something together for a long time. So I asked him, ‘Do we advertise together? Do you think you can handle our ad?” He immediately said, “Yes, I would very much like that. I loved the idea, I loved the concept. It will be wonderful and I know how to do it.” He used about 12 cameras, all these amazing different cameras, and he shot with his amazing DP. Everything developed very quickly and we had a lot of fun. It’s been two days and that’s it [snaps fingers]. It was so easy. It’s this young man, 37 years old and here he is in this activity. I’m sitting here, lucky enough to make an announcement for my vital proteins.

How could he turn down Jennifer Aniston? It was perfect and shows scenes of your daily life, including blogs. How long have you been using the magazine?

I have blogged since childhood. I have boxes and boxes, boxes and boxes of magazines, and it’s nice to go back and see them all, some with felt prints or florals and all in different styles, and notice all the differences in my words and thoughts. . I also think it’s good to write freely where you don’t think about what you’re writing and everything is a stream of consciousness. There are different ways and sometimes it can be a Thanksgiving list. They offer specific numbers like 12 minutes of free writing a day. That’s good for your day.

What do you prefer? Thank you lists or free writing?

👉 It depends. It’s generally free to write to see what comes up.

Casting Damien and helping to strip the formula speaks volumes about his role as Creative Director of Vital Proteins. You could have just walked in as the face of the brand, why did you decide to play that role?

I didn’t say I would definitely want that title. I just wanted to participate. It’s always more fun to participate in the products than the face, because then you can play around and be creative. The same goes for the hair care brand I own, LolaVie, which I love. It allows me to be a mad scientist and make it perfect by working behind the scenes on all the good stuff. It’s like making a movie, you know, putting all the details together, finding the perfect script, the amazing crew, the filmmaker and figuring out how the story is told. It’s all fun from start to finish, and then you see the final product and think, oh, this is satisfying.

Speaking of shooting, you just finished the second Adam Sandler, to continue The secret of the murder.. What was the best day on set?

Oh my God. There aren’t many days that aren’t fun with Adam. Okay, there was a day, but you have to see the movie to speak. It involves the other couple and it’s a really fun scene with me and Adam and the other couple. It’s a very funny movie. I was just saying it was really hard to do because I wasn’t at all [during the pandemic]. We were gone for three months and I wouldn’t have left California or been on a plane since the start of the pandemic.

I had shot morning show And it was also a challenge filming during a pandemic, because as a producer, you just don’t show up and go to work, we had to make sure everyone was safe and that we were taking the right steps and taking the right steps. action. . protocols. [When it comes time to shoot] So it’s like, ‘OK, go now, have fun. God, well, how can we be funny? It was very difficult to get through this routine and film it safely, and you couldn’t see the faces of your crew and your fellow actors. [Acting] It’s a creative process and we’re very tactical. I love seeing faces and our free creative juices and felt a little limited I must say. But we made it and for some reason we didn’t get COVID, thank God.

Did you go through the whole pandemic and couldn’t make it through?

[Yes.] Touching the tree.

We don’t have any more time, but let’s talk about your dance card. It is very full of these businesses and projects – Lolavie, Vital Proteins, morning show, Actor and producer. Is there another creative endeavor you want to tackle in 2022?

What do I not want to touch? I mean, 2022 is almost over; It’s all planned. We start the third season morning show In August, which I admire. That will probably take us into the next year and then there’s another project that’s likely to be implemented next summer that we’ll talk about, but I’m really excited. So at some point, it’s time for me to direct. This is another initiative, on the more creative side.

Is there any specific reference to the director?

I still haven’t found myself. I grabbed some shorts that I had a lot of fun with and I’m getting ready for a full project as soon as I have time.
