The night agent will have a season 2
In March 2023, Netflix offers its subscribers a new series, adapted from a novel by Matthew Quirk: The night agent. We follow Peter Sutherland, an FBI agent whose daily life is initially routine. One day, finds himself involved in a conspiracy on a large scale. He then embarks on a manhunt to flush out a Russian mole planted in the American government.
The night agent was one of Netflix’s big hits in 2023. Authors of a great start, collected the first episodes of the show over 168 million hours watched in just four days. OR the third highest score in that period for a series making its debut on the famous streaming platform. This is therefore logically announced the launch of a season 2 from March 29, 2023. And news has just been released about this second chapter.
Let’s start shooting the new episodes
On X, Netflix just revealed it filming the second season of The night agent it had begun. This had been postponed with the writers’ strike. The streaming platform announced the news by posting a photo of Gabriel Basso, Peter Sutherland’s interpreter, with applause.
The second season of The night agent will have a big difference compared to its predecessor. Although the first episodes followed the plot of the book on which the series is based, the new ones will offer a new story. Even those who have read Matthew Quirk’s novel cannot know what awaits Peter from now on.
The release remains scheduled for 2024
If the second chapter of The night agent n/a no specific release date yetwe already know itwill be revealed later this year. Despite the delay in filming linked to the writers’ strike, Netflix has confirmed that the new episodes of the show created by Shaw Ryan will be released in 2024. The teams working on this second season will therefore have to complete filming quite quickly.
