The Office: What would Dwight look like in 2022? Rainn Wilson responds

Various franchises of Hollywood gained revival in recent years, as friends, Panic, How I Met Your Mother, among others. A production with a lot of orders for this is The Officebut it never happened – or is predicted. Rainn Wilsoninterpreter of Dwight in the iconic series, talked about how the character would be today.

In a video made for Gizmodo, Wilson was asked about the show, specifically what Dwight could be doing in 2022. For the actor, the farmer and seller would have an even busier life, as Schrute Farms and even a career in politics. “He prepared for the zombie apocalypse, which never came. But he would have done a big build for some underground bunkers, food storage, weapons,” he said.

“Then that would have taken up a lot of his time. He should probably figure out ways to make the farm more profitable, probably a roadside shack from Schrute Farms with the beets on top,” the actor continued. “He’s a capitalist, so he would have bought a lot more buildings in and around Scranton. Maybe he’s even in some crazy right-wing party.”
