A huge comic book fan, Zayn Malik received a valuable gift from the director of the concert film One Direction: This Is Us (2013)
Singer who began his career as a member of the boy band One Direction, Zayn Malik remembered a pretty cool story: the day he received a rare comic from Iron Man autographed by none other than Stan Lee.
The gift was given by Morgan Spurlockdirector of the documentary and concert film One Direction: This Is Us, released on September 6, 2013 in Brazilian cinemas. The filmmaker presented gifts to each member of the group.
Always a fan of comic books, Malik revealed during an interview with Hot Ones, as the gift was an “amazing” idea, and framed the magazine, displayed on one of the walls of his house. In fact, he even brags to his “geek and nerd friends who love comics.”
“They definitely want that comic from me. None of them will have it anytime while I’m alive, so they’ll have to wait a while,” the singer said. He then revealed how the other members were jealous of the gift.
“I remember the boys being super… upset about it too, because they didn’t get such nice presents and [Morgan] He gave me this signed Stan Lee comic. I remember being like, ‘That’s f***ing cool,'” he said.
