Reik consolidates his return to the world of pop with “Abril”, an exciting new single that brings them face to face with their musical roots.
The international music scene is no longer the same as it was ten years ago and Reik knows it. That’s why, true to their habit of taking risks and reinventing themselves, Julio, Jesús and Bibi created “Abril”, a song that perfectly complements the pop that has positioned them as one of the greatest figures of the Spanish scene.
The group’s new single is a ballad which (according to Julio Ramírez Eguía himself) came into being in an idyllic and romantic way, like the aura that surrounds the group.
The song was born spontaneously from a vocal note the trio accidentally recorded during a break after an interview: “I loved it from then on, when we were scattered, I was playing guitar and Jesus was talking; everyone in the middle of the gossip, a song came out, a ballad that surprises and that goes very well with the facet of the new album”, said Julio.
“Abril” is a song that connects very well with the Reik universe and resumes the path traced with his previous successful single: “Thanks for Nothing”.
The video for the single shows Jesus walking, following a girl who leaves a trail of flowers for her partner along the way. The clip explodes, like the song, an intense moment, very cinematic and surreal, in which flowers and colors invade the romantic scene.
