Michael Scott killer? Bizarre plot was cut from The Office

Hated by some, but loved by many others, michael scottthe branch manager of the Dunder Mifflin paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, could be quite exaggerated in some business situations. The Office (2005-2013), but an idea from the writers of the acclaimed comedy almost went even further than any of the character’s achievements.

In an interview with Huffington Postin 2020, the showrunner in The Office, Greg Danielsrevealed that, at a certain point in history, the manager played by Steve Carell (The 40 Year Old Virgin) would end up becoming a merciless killer.

The definitive moment would happen in the premiere of the 4th season of the series, an episode in which Michael accidentally run over Meredith (Kate Flannery) in the Dunder Mifflin parking lot, sending her to the hospital. However, in the original idea, he would go back over her subordinate’s body until she died.

“At a certain point, the writers [queriam] tell the story that Michael ran over Meredith in the parking lot and ran over her once again to finish the job. I had to end it. That was the only thing that came to mind.”remembered.

Second danielsdespite the oddities and difficulties of Michaelhe wasn’t a genuinely cruel person to kill one of his co-workers: “Michael doing something that is truly evil is not something we would see on the show”justified the showrunner. Remember the scene of the accident:
