“You”. This is the name of the new single by Rosario Ortega, which has had the collaboration of Juan Ingaramo.

“There are songs that mark an important stage in life which is the last period of childhood and the beginning of adolescence. At that time, I listened to a lot of music in English, but I also started looking for Spanish-speaking referents, who had a strong voice and who composed their own songs. These artists paved the way for all the music that followed and is still very important today. Although in my case the influences were many and in different styles, in this album that I recorded I wanted to focus particularly on rock and pop in Spanish from the 90s,” said Rosario.

And he added: “I approached Mariano Otero with this idea and we made a great list of songs from that era. Once we chose them, a research process began so that each track had a particular color and gives it something different from the original version.Each song is chosen for something special and designed to sound in a universe of its own.

Specifically about “You, explained that “Shakira is an artist who has always caught my eye as a woman and a composer. I marked with fire the songs of his first albums and it seemed to me essential that there be a version of some of his songs. When we started to move forward on the song, we realized that the voice of Juan Ingaramo was going to add something special to it, and I invited him. It’s an R&B-sounding version, probably the most minimalist on the album, but with a punchy sound.”
