Taylor Swift played an important role not only on the soundtrack to The Summer That Changed My Life, but also in the life of author Jenny Han.

no wonder, Jenny Han is a big fan of the American singer-songwriter, and the impact of Swift in The Summer That Changed My Life goes far beyond just songs on the soundtrack. The trilogy author revealed that she listened to the songs while writing the original story.
“I’ve been a fan for years. While I was writing the books, I was listening to her music,” she told the CBS Mornings. “I think she understands female youth in a unique way and she loves stories. It means a lot to me.”
The Summer That Changed My Life accompanies Belly (Lola Tung), a teenager who spent every summer at her mother’s friend’s house, who had two children she had always had a crush on. However, the boys have always seen her as a little sister, but everything changes when she turns 16.
