According to actor, residual check for tip in ‘Buffy: The Vampire Slayer’ was what prevented him from becoming homeless and having to abandon his profession
Pedro Pascal revealed that Buffy: The Vampire Slayer saved him from abandoning the profession. The statement came to Entertainment Tonight to which Pascal recalled when a last payment for the series with Sarah Michelle Gellar saved him from running out of money entirely.
“I was a rookie for about 15 years,” said the actor. “I’m talking about not being able to go to the doctor, getting sick, having surgery or paying the rent.”
According to Pascal, he almost had to abandon the profession – which today, 25 years later, brings him awards such as Best Actor in a Drama Seriesat the SAG Awards. The star of The Last of Us then he remembered what made him hold on to the ends: precisely the payment for a part he made in Buffy.
“I had less than seven dollars in my account when a residual check for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer saved my day.”
