The former Disney star looked like a possible discrepancy when coupled with the the legendary comic duo of Steve Martin and Martin Short , who had worked together since before Selena Gomez was born. But Gomez rounded out the pair and stood firm, acting wisely. When the first two episodes of Only murders in the building Season 2 is coming to Hulu Her fans were quick to praise the actress. In fact, less than 24 hours later, some fans were already trying to generate a first Emmy buzz:

Mabel’s past heavily influenced the plot of the first season, as murder victim Tim Kono was a member of her former group of friends. How Selena Gomez portrayed a younger version of her character wowed viewers and continued to receive praise from fans of her after the second season premiere:

Delevingne has joined the cast for the second season as a sophisticated connoisseur of the art world who, like the main trio, becomes obsessed with the events that happen in Arconia. Selena Gomez, however, shines even better when paired with Martin Short and Steve Martin, the reviewer says:
For anyone who has fallen in love with the collective chemistry of Martin, Short and Gomez, the best moments of the second season are, of course, when the three collide. Selena Gomez is just as charming and likeable as Mabel, especially here in Season 2, as her character has now been tagged as Bloody Mabel by the cutthroat world of social media.
Selena Gomez said before the release of the second season that it’s not just the character that does it changed from the first season . She also went through changes in her personal life and felt that some of those changes faded into Mabel’s character. He said Mabel is more sophisticated now, with better style. Of course, when it comes to style, the fans like it Mabel’s fashion sense of the first season, both in her bright orange coat and in a sleek turtleneck.
