The Sustainable Production Alliance said on Tuesday that it has teamed up with the non-profit organization Global Heritage to assemble a collection of artworks that contain environmental messages. These works will be licensed for on-screen use in upcoming films and series produced by members of SPA, the American Green Committee Producers Guild and the Green Film School Alliance.
The collection was developed through Global Inheritance’s POSTed Studio program and incorporates environmental messages such as billboards, bus stop signs, college dormitory signs and other designs for display as part of the kit. ᲭOrican girl Set decorator Joe Thompson has already signed on to use all 10 parts of the show next season.
“Environmental messages come in a variety of forms, and the art of decor has the power to convey powerful messages,” said Heidi Kindberg, SPA Fellow and director of sustainability at HBO/HBOMax. “Having works created by this global heritage will create more opportunities for our products to contribute to the climate narrative.”

Through our partnership with SPA, we hope to make it easier than ever to promote environmental messages on screen,” said Eric Ritz, CEO and founder of Global Inheritance. “This opportunity coincides with Global Inheritance’s mission to use POSTed Studio art as a means of disseminating information about the environmental challenges we face and helping to build public consensus.
SPA, a group of film, television and streaming companies dedicated to making the entertainment business a more sustainable industry, includes Amazon Studios, Amblin Partners, Disney, Fox Corporation, Hasbro Inc., NBCUniversal, Netflix, Paramount, one participant, Sony Pictures Entertainment. And Warner Bros. Discovery as its members.
The Alliance Grants Program annually awards a non-profit organization for its contribution to the advancement of sustainable production. Past grant recipients include Rock and Wrap It Up, the Hollywood Food Coalition and the Lifecycle Building Center in Atlanta.
