Fly Me to the Moon: Scarlett Johansson seduces Channing Tatum in a fun trailer

Scarlett Johansson, the great return

After City of asteroids in 2023, Scarlett Johansson returns to the screens in full swing. In fact, two films featuring her will be released this year: Take me to the moon AND North star. A highly anticipated return for the actress we haven’t seen – with the exception of Wes Anderson – at her best since 2019 and Marriage history by Noah Baumbach, first nomination forOscar for best actress in game. These two new films will therefore be an opportunity to find her again, starting with Take me to the moonromantic comedy co-produced by Apple Studios, which will be released in American theaters on July 12, 2024.

In the newly revealed trailer (video at the top of the article), we immerse ourselves in the second half of the 1960s, while the space race between the United States and the USSR was raging. We immediately discover Kelly Jones, played by Scarlett Johansson, a young woman marketing specialist recruited by NASA to interest the population in the mission Apollo 11, which is to send men to the Moon. Among his various tasks, he will then have to supervise the production of a film showing the astronauts landing on the Moon, in case the real mission fails…

A love story set against the backdrop of a space adventure

This new film is a romantic comedy and therefore will tell above all the love story between Kelly Jones and Cole Davisplayed by Channing Chatum, who in these first images appears to be the director of the Apollo 11 mission. Directed by Greg Berlanti, Take me to the moon The cast also includes Woody Harrelson, Jim Rash and Ray Romano.

This is the first time Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson appear on screen together. The actor replaced Chris Evans, who originally played the role of Cole Davis but left the project following the production delay caused by the change of director, with Greg Berlanti replacing Jason Bateman.
