Robert Downey Jr. recently gave a long interview to Squire. He discussed several points of his career. Among these, he briefly mentioned his adventure as Tony Stark. He then affirmed the role he played within the MCU it had scarred him for lifeand therefore it will always remain with him: “It’s part of my DNA. This role chose me”.
The actor was then asked if he had a chance to see it play Iron Man again. And she made sure of ithe would ” With pleasure » if the opportunity arose. He also explained that he would never doubt Kevin Feige’s ability to bring the character back to life: “I always say never bet against Kevin Feige. (…) He will win every time. »
Completely improvised cult lines
For this same article, Squire Gwyneth Paltrow also questioned. Pepper’s interpreter in the MCU has dealt with Robert Downey Jr. on numerous occasions. And he revealed that the latter had become accustomed to improvise his lines rather than sticking to the script Iron Man :
We went to Robert’s trailer in the morning with Jon Favreau (the director of the film, ed.) and Robert said “I’m not going to say these fucking lines” before throwing the script away. And then he improvised, both in the trailer and directly on set.
Again according to the actress, Robert Downey Jr. therefore invented it a large number of cult replicas by Tony Stark “ten minutes before telling her”. The actor had such a habit of improvising that Gwyneth Paltrow herself stopped learning her lines and simply reacted to what her acting partner was throwing at her!
