Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Children’s TV addresses alleged cases of moral and sexual harassment behind the scenes of the TV channel
Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Children’s TVa documentary series about the dark behind-the-scenes of Nickelodeon, one of the most popular children’s channels on TV, debuts in the Max catalog this Saturday, April 13th.
The new Investigation Discovery deals with alleged cases of moral and sexual harassment behind the scenes of successful productions such as Zoey 101 (2005-2008), Icarly (2007-2012), Brilliant victory (2010-2013), Drake & Josh (2004-2007), Sam & Cat (2013-2014) and Amanda’s Show (1999-2002).
One of the focuses of The Dark Side of Children’s TV is the producer Dan Schneider, described as the “golden boy” and responsible for the channel’s main successes, such as those mentioned above. The production also features testimony from Drake Bellone of the stars of Drake & Josh, who speaks for the first time about being a victim of sexual abuse while working on Nickelodeon productions.
