Guillaume Canet flexes his muscles for Netflix

Guillaume Canet is not idle. After directing the last part of the adventures of Asterix and Obelix, and having played a series of roles (five in one year), the director and actor will soon be the protagonist of a new action film made on Netflix entitled AD VITAM, for which he also co-wrote the screenplayand wear the producer’s hat.

This feature film marks Guillaume Canet’s first foray into the world of streaming as a screenwriter and producer, after making a notable appearance in the comedy Nouveau richepublished in November 2023.

The plot ofAD VITAM reminiscent of the action saga Taken worn by Liam Neeson. Guillaume Canet will play a man named Franck Lazareff who, after escaping an assassination attempt, must find his wife. kidnapped by a dangerous gang. But his mission will plunge him into a hellish spiral, where his mysterious past will resurface, at the same time as he will find himself in the middle of an affair of state that is beyond his control.

To announce the film, Netflix revealed a first image in which we can discover Guillaume Canet, very muscular and visibly in very poor condition. The opportunity to discover the actor in a more physical role than usual.
