the Umbrella Academy Season 3 continues its hit streak topping Netflix’s 10 Best Daily TV Shows, with has held the place since winning the first part of Strange things record of the fourth season . Which supposedly means millions and millions of netflix subscribers I saw the premiere of the third season and beyond. What if you were one of the fans who noticed the lack of continuity between The crazy end of the second season and its sequel, you are not alone and you are absolutely right. Ben Hargreeves somehow got a magical hairstyle change mid-scene!
Obviously, the character didn’t turn up the bangs very quickly in the sequence itself, because well the tentacles I’m probably not that handy with razors and hair gel. (Although they can light a cigarette …) Anyway, the Umbrella Academy Star Justin H. Min and showrunner Steve Blackman revealed that Ben’s hair change wasn’t a random montage mistake, but rather a deliberate continuity mistake for both practical and emotional reasons. In what Min did No I want to wear this look all season. Here’s how she explained it in a funny way television line :
You know, they talk about the best day of your life. The bangs had a good run, but it had to go. They kept falling. It was going to be a nightmare to shoot with, so she pulled her hair up and we undid it.
Even if it is probable the Umbrella AcademyBen’s hairdressers could have styled Ben’s hair in super emo dangling bangs mode, Justin H. Min may not have needed a lot of action to bring out the character’s grumpy demeanor. Especially if there was still a logistical issue regarding the toupee issues.
Thankfully, the slight horrors that accompanied filming the Season 2 finale weren’t replicated for the most current season, which not only pleased Min, but was clearly the better choice in hindsight. I can’t imagine Ben would have remained such an asshole all season if his eyes had been partially covered in bangs the whole time. Could this have led to hilarious moments where Umbrella members pushed Ben’s hair up and out of his eyes? We can only hope.
As Steve Blackman says, I wasn’t that thrilled with the equation when the aforementioned ending was shot. In his words:
we shot this [original] scene from the last day of season 2, and she didn’t want that to happen to her hair. it should be continuous [into Season 3], but … I wanted to change it. Justin too, so we made a small change to that.
Nobody wanted to point their finger too directly, so blame the bangs. the extraterrestrial Reginald Hargreeves because he never has the best in mind for his children, no matter what timeline he is in.
The three seasons of the Umbrella Academy are currently streaming on Netflix and be sure to check ours Program of the first TV 2022 to see what’s worth diving into, after all naked fighting and for now the kugelblitz are gone.
