Poison was supposed to leave with Defe Lepard, Mottle Cruise and Joan Jet on Thursday night for a stop in Nashville on their joint stadium tour, but left the group after frontman Brett Michaels was taken to the hospital.
The Nashville, Tennessee Members of Poison allegedly took the stage to inform the Nissan Stadium crowd that Michaels had been hospitalized and would not be able to perform. No further details about his condition were released.
Fans confirmed the hospitalization on Twitter, including one participant. Said He traveled from Kansas City, Missouri to see the group.
The group has yet to make a public statement about the situation and it is not yet clear whether Michaels will be able to perform in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday.
The massive North American tour has been postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19 and again in 2021. “To all our loyal fans, we want you to know that we heard today that the tour will be moved to 2022.” the group said in a Facebook post in May 2021. “This is the only way to ensure that we can play all dates for everyone who bought the ticket. Thank you for being there and we look forward to getting back on stage and touring the stadium for all our fans. It will be for the history books!”
The mega tour finally kicked off on June 16th in Atlanta, Georgia and is scheduled to run through the summer, ending on September 9th in Las Vegas.
