Actor Noah Schnapp, who plays Will on “Stranger Things”, posted a tearful photo on his Instagram stories, writing “Happy ending to ‘Stranger Things'” on it.
The image of the reaction, including the hand on the head in a pose of despair, is driving fans crazy. “Fuck it, fdeu”, one follower reacted. “Hello,” commented another.
One reason for the concern is that interviews with creators, crew and cast have suggested that some of the fan-favorite characters may be dying. The Duffer brothers, who conceived the attraction, even mentioned a “body count” after the final confrontation with Vecna.
Part 2 of Season 4 will debut Friday (7/1) on Netflix.
Although there are only two other chapters to complete the story, both are the size of a movie. The 8th chapter is about 1 hour and 25 minutes long, while the 9th and last one is almost 2 and a half hours long. So there are still almost four unpublished hours of tension left.
