The team of Mission: Impossible 8 in Paris
Hollywood superstar actor and global icon Tom Cruise can be very discreet. Very discreet outside of the images of his films, he has managed to distance the media from his private life and become elusive. So surprised when, on the morning of April 26, 2024, an amateur video showed it ride a motorbike on Avenue Carnot, with the Arc de Triomphe in the background, appeared online. Tom Cruise was in Paris last night taking photos Mission: Impossible 8.
Unless it’s for another film, but given the location, the motorbike racing at high speed, and the inevitable feeling of “Already seen” – Ethan Hunt/Tom Cruise had already offered a memorable motorcycle chase in Paris in Mission: Impossible – Fallout -, doubt is not really allowed.
Tom Cruise was not satisfied with this full-speed ride near the Arc de Triomphe, as he was also seen the Bir-Hakeim bridge it’s almost Eiffel Tower. Or the iconic places of Paris, loved by the global public and in particular by the American one.
The last work with Ethan Hunt?
The eighth work of the great action and espionage saga is expected in France for May 21, 2025after multiple postponements caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, then by the SAG-AFTRA strike in 2023. A release date which, unlike the previous ones (2 November 2022, 5 July 2023 and 26 June 2024), falls in the usual period Of Cannes Film Festival. Which could therefore suggest a presentation during the 2025 edition is not excluded from the prestigious festival. In this case, Tom Cruise would return to the Croisette 3 years after the presentation of Top Gun: nonconformist.
Mission: Impossible 8, which is no longer presented as the second part of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning and still has no official title, therefore adds Paris to the list of filming locations. According to IMDB, crews have already filmed in South Africa, Norway and London. Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie were also spotted in Italy filming sequences on an aircraft carrier in February 2023.
If this film were to be, as has been suggested, the last appearance of the character of Ethan Hunt in the saga begun by Tom Cruise in 1996 under the direction of Brian De Palma, there is no doubt that the actor will want to mark the coup state and celebrates all his feats of arms, thus offering references and winks to previous films.
