Disney+: the news for May arrives, with Star Wars, Avatar and a masterpiece

Movies on Disney+ in May

After Netflix, Prime Video and Canal+, it’s Disney+’s turn to reveal its May schedule. A great program awaits subscribers with several new documentaries, the return of Iron Man, but above all the arrival on the platform ofAvatar: The Way of Water (2022). From May 17th we will be able to (re)see the long-awaited sequel toAvatars (2009), which, upon its theatrical release, attracted more than 14 million viewers in France and grossed more than $2.3 billion worldwide. It is therefore a real colossus that is added to the catalogue.

But if Avatar 2 will be May’s Disney+ event, the addition of the excellent film shouldn’t be downplayed The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). Directed by Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson, it’s a superb drama, considered a masterpiece at the time of its release (read our review), and not to be missed from May 31st.

Series on Disney+ in May

On Disney+ we will talk about another great license, but this time on the series side. From May 4th the platform will launch a new one Star Wars animated series titled Tales of the Empire.
