Day N Vegas 2022, originally scheduled for Labor Day weekend, has been cancelled, festival organizers announced on Friday.
“We regret to announce that a combination of logistical, time and production issues has forced us to cancel Day N Vegas for 2022,” the festival said in a statement on social media. “The refund process will begin immediately and the funds will appear in your account within the next 2-4 weeks.”
The full lineup for the three-day festival was announced on June 7, with headliners Travis Scott, SZA and JJ Col. Also scheduled for the festival Playboi Carti, 21 Savage, Baby Keem, Summer Walker, HER, Jhene Aiko, Trippie Redd, Jorja Smith, Pusha T, Joji, Aminé, City Girls, T-Pain, Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Steve Lacey. , Tems, Syd, Sabrina Claudio and others. It would be Scott’s first appearance at the festival since a crowd during the Astroworld festival in Houston in 2021 killed 10 people and injured dozens more. The rapper was supposed to perform at Day N Vegas 2021 a week after the tragedy, but after the Astroworld incident, he was removed from the project and replaced by Post Malone.
The festival, produced by Goldenvoice, the AEG-owned concert promotion company that produces Coachella, was scheduled to return to the Las Vegas festival grounds September 2-4, 2022, two months ahead of last year’s festival. . Weekend November 12-14, 2021.
