Stranger Things: Winona Ryder Questioned Series’ Story Accuracy: ‘She Knows All the Details’

David Harbor revealed that Winona Ryder pays attention to every detail of the Duffer brothers’ scripts

Winona Ryder is keeping an eye on the references that the brothers duffer are putting in Stranger Things (2016). According to co-star David Harborthe actress has a direct impact on the show’s script, alerting creators to the historical accuracy of the 1980s elements.

“She tells them, ‘This song actually came out in 1985 and it’s 1983,’” he said. harbor for Haper’s Bazaar (via NME). “She knows all these minutes, details I don’t even know, and they have to change the script based on that… It’s amazing how her mind works and how it goes into all these different corners.”

I’m always telling them, ‘The work is the reward!’ Because when I was that age, it was very difficult to enjoy the fruits of my labor.”

Actress continued, “Business is brutal. You’re constantly working, but if you want a break, they’ll tell you, ‘if you slow down, you’ll stop.’ And then it slows down and you hear, ‘It’s going to be impossible to go back.’ And that changes to ‘you’re not even part of the conversation.’ Like, it was brutal.”
