Now it’s official: a new series, set in the same universe as The Office (2005-2013), led by Greg Danielscreator of the American version of the comedy, and Michael Koman (Girls5eva), was approved and will be released on Peacock, a streaming service unavailable in Brazil. The information is from deadline.
According to the official synopsis of the series, “The documentary team that immortalized the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and a publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.”.

The Officeoriginally, is an English series, created by Ricky Gervais (The First Liar) and Stephen Merchant (Extras), but it was its North American version that gained strength. While the original production had only three seasons, aired between 2001 and 2003, the American remake, starring Steve Carell (The Morning Show) aired for nine seasons, aired between 2005 and 2013.
In the story, employees at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company, located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, have to deal with a chaotic work environment created by the team leader, michael scott (Carell).
The cast of the American version of The Office still had John Krasinski (A Quiet Place), Rainn Wilson (Cooties: The Epidemic),Jenna Fischer (3:17 pm: Train to Paris), BJ Novak (Inglourious Basterds), Ed Helms (If You Drink, Don’t Marry!) It is Mindy Kaling (The Mindy Project), between others.
