Ripley vs. Grogu
The saga Star Wars has, in the past, welcomed great cinema personalities. In fact, we learn Variety that Sigourney Weaver is currently in talks to play a role in the film The Mandalorian and Grogu. After three seasons broadcast on Disney+ between 2019 and 2023, the duo will continue their adventure in a feature film scheduled for May 20, 2026 at the cinema. If we don’t know anything about the scenario for now, we can expect to see them cross paths with Sigourney Weaver, whose character also remains a mystery.
Star Wars and Sigourney Weaver projects
Directed by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian and Grogu it replaced season 4 of the series. This will be the first film Star Wars coming out starting from episode 9, The Rise of Skywalkerin 2019. Since then many projects have been announced, then postponed or cancelled. The Mandalorian and Grogu remains the most advanced now. Finally, regarding Sigourney Weaver, after carrying on the series Wild flowers (2023) on Prime Video, we will find her in an Apple TV+ film, The throat by Scott Derrickson (Black phone), whose release has not yet been announced. But the most awaited for the actress remains Avatara3, which will see her, a priori, reprising the role of Kiri Sully. The blockbuster is scheduled for release on December 17, 2025.
