Welcome to Derry will arrive on Max in 2025
Welcome to Derry is a highly anticipated horror television series, coming out in 2025 on the Max streaming platform (formerly HBO Max). Developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, this series serves as a prequel to the films That (2017) e It’s chapter 2 (2019), which are adaptations of Stephen King’s famous novel.
The series will immerse us in the history of the fictional town of Derry, Maine, in the 1960s, long before the events of the films. The series will explore the origins of the terror that haunts the city, with a particular focus on the iconic figure of Pennywise the Clown. Therefore, the series promises to delve into the mysteries and horrors surrounding Derry and its inhabitants and the evil that lurks in the city’s sewers.
Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise
