A superb trailer for Alien: Romulus
The more time passes, the more Alien: Romulus seems to be one of the most anticipated films this summer. Yes, when Ridley Scott and James Cameron validated the film, the hype was great. And it is even more so in front of the very engaging first teaser. But although a new trailer has been revealed by 20th Century Studios, the anxiety to discover Fede Álvarez’s feature film is immense. ON these images (video in one of the articles), we note the director’s desire to make the most of the first two films. The famous “in space we can’t hear you scream” is combined with the action-oriented style of the second work.
Visually Fede Álvarez knows how to deliver superbly disturbing shots. It must be said that she had largely convinced us evil Dead. And even the hideous appearance should not disappoint Alien: Romulus. The filmmaker also finds a way to introduce a certain novelty, as in this shot that allows us to see the xenomorph about to emerge from the ribcage of one of the characters (50 seconds), or when a facehugger (1’14) tries to enter another victim’s throat.

Of course, for the moment it is “only” a trailer. And we will have to wait to see the final result to be able to fully judgeAlien: Romulus. But everything remains very engaging with shots that have everything to become iconic. Finally, the young cast, composed mainly of Cailee Spaeny and Isabela Merced, but also David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu, seems to be up to the task. Which of this list will survive? Rerun in theaters on August 14th.
