Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton, responded to a fan who was surprised by her ‘courage’ in filming sex scenes
Actress in productions such as Derry Girls, Big Mood, Barbie (2023) and Seize Them! (2024), Nicola Coughlan became well known worldwide for playing Penelope Featherington in Bridgerton. A few days before the premiere of Part 2 from the third season of the series, the actress spoke about the sex scenes.
In a display event (via Omelet), the artist was called brave by a fan, who was surprised that she accepted the intimate scenes. However, Coughlan explained how the scenes in question represent a lot for her and a group of people.
“You know, it’s hard because I think women with my body type, women with perfect breasts, we don’t consider ourselves good enough,” said the 37-year-old actress. “I’m so proud to be a member of the perfect breasts community. I’m proud and I hope you enjoy seeing them.”
